Police activity reported March 8-29:

March 29, 5:02 a.m. — A commercial alarm was reported in the 600 block of Wakefield Drive. Officers determined a delivery driver set off the alarm.

March 28, 9:25 p.m. — Officers assisted a motorist in the 100 block of South Mecca Street.

7:48 p.m. — Renee N. Derr, 34, of Kinsman, was issued a citation on a charge of traveling through a red light in the area of state Route 5 and Fowler Street.

7:14 p.m. — Officers spoke to residents in the area of Butternut Circle and Old Oak Drive in reference to traffic violations.

March 27, 9:50 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of North Mecca Street. Officers determined the driver was an employee on break from a nearby business.

7:49 p.m. — Mackayla R. Blessing, 19 of Warren, was issued a citation on a charge of failure to yield at a stop sign after a traffic stop at North Mecca and West Main streets.

7 p.m. — Michael O. Wisniewski, 70, of Warren, was issued a citation on a charge of failure to yield at a stop sign after a traffic stop at North Mecca and West Main streets.

9:20 a.m. — A resident reported glass in the road near Topaz Trail.

March 26, 7:35 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of Fawn Lane.

5:57 a.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 300 block of South High Street. Officers determined the driver was at the wrong location so officers gave him directions to his destination.

March 25, 10:57 p.m. — A noise complaint was received in reference to a party in the 200 block of Old Oak Drive. Officers asked the subjects to go inside for the night.

6:41 p.m. — A traffic complaint was received in reference to the intersection of state Route 46 and West Main Street.

March 24, 7:30 a.m. — A repossession was reported in the 200 block of Greenbriar Drive.

March 23, 6:51 p.m. — Officers assisted Fowler Township Police with a traffic stop in the area of State Route 11 and Wilson Sharpsville Road.

4:15 p.m. — Stephen Gyomber, 66, of Orwell, was issued a citation for expired tags after a traffic stop at South Mecca and Second streets.

12:39 p.m. — Criminal damage was reported in the 400 block of Charles Avenue.

10:48 p.m. — A two-car traffic accident was reported in the 3300 block of state Route 46. No injuries were reported.

1:19 a.m. — An unwanted person was reported in the 2000 block of Liberty Boulevard. Officers spoke with the resident who advised there was no problem.

March 22, 11:04 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Richard Avenue and Frostwood Drive. Officers identified five juveniles who were advised to leave the area.

3:50 p.m. — Someone came on station to report a theft.

2:52 p.m. — An abandoned 911 call was received from the 100 block of Maplewood Drive. Officers discovered it to be a malfunctioning call box.

2:23 p.m. — A two-car traffic accident was reported on North Mecca Street. There were no injuries and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

11:34 a.m. — A repossession was reported in the 500 block of Lakeview Drive.

10:50 a.m. — A domestic disturbance was reported in the 200 block of South High Street. Both subjects denied any violence and told officers it was a verbal disagreement.

4:42 a.m. — Officers assisted Cortland Fire Department / EMS with a fire at a home in the 100 block of Cedar Drive. No injuries were reported and the family will be assisted by the Red Cross.

March 21, 8:45 p.m. — A reckless blue GMC pickup truck was reported in the area of state Routes 305 and 46. Officers couldn’t locate the vehicle.

2:59 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of South High Street. Officers determined the issue was a LYFT driver taking a nap.

March 20, 8:42 p.m. — Susan Weaver, 18, of Cortland, was issued citation in the 3700 block of Wilson Sharpsville Road for failure to stop after a hit / skip crash on South High Street.

7:13 p.m. — Hit / skip accident reported in the 600 block of South High Street. No injuries were reported.

3:57 p.m. — A report was taken on station in reference to a theft.

9:33 a.m. — Criminal damage reported in the 400 block of East Main Street.

7:43 a.m. — A juvenile driver was issued a citation for speed after a traffic stop was conducted at South Colonial Drive and Windsor Drive.

2:25 a.m. — Officer assisted Cortland Fire Department / EMS in the 100 block of Heritage Lane in a medical emergency.

March 19, 7:09 p.m. — Jacob Marinkovich, 34, of Cortland, was issued citations on charges of texting while driving and failure to stop after an accident after he was located on Fowler Street following a hit / skip accident.

6:30 p.m. — Gray Honda Pilot reportedly struck two mailboxes in the 200 block of Fowler Street. The driver made no attempt to stop after the crashes. A license plate number was reported to Trumbull County 911.

8:46 a.m. — Officers assist Cortland Fire Department / EMS in the 300 block of Old Oak Drive.

March 18, 3:50 p.m. — Menacing reported in the 200 block of Park Avenue.

3:42 p.m. — Officers investigated a possible traffic crash on state Route 5 near state Route 305.

12:56 p.m. — Officers assist Cortland Fire Department / EMS with a medical emergency in the 200 block of Maplewood Drive.

4:23 a.m. — John Palo, 56, of Newton Falls, was issued a citation at state Route 46 and Fairview Avenue on a charge of misuse of equipment.

March 17, 11:56 p.m. — Suspicious vehicle reported in the area of the 500 block of Lakeview Drive.

11:20 p.m. — Domestic disturbance reported in the 300 block of Fowler Street.

8:20 p.m. — Officers assist Cortland Fire Department / EMS with a medical emergency in the 100 block of South Colonial Drive.

6:41 p.m. — Private property traffic crash reported in the 300 block of South High Street. No injuries were reported.

4:45 p.m. — Zachary M. Byler, 30, of Cortland, was issued a citation at South High Street and Wakefield Drive for expired tags.

3:39 p.m. — Suspicious black vehicle was reported in the 200 block of South High Street.

1:30 p.m. — Nekia D. Brown, 42, of Youngstown, was issued a citation at South High Street and Elm Road for a red light violation.

12:30 p.m. — Alyssa M. Feliciano, 19, of Howland, was issued a citation on a charge of driving under suspension after traffic stop at South High Street and Wakefield Drive.

March 16, 8:50 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of South High Street.

5:07 p.m. — Dog bite was reported on Maple Avenue. The victim was taken to the hospital by family members.

March 15, 10:20 p.m. — Officers assist Cortland Fire Department with an odor investigation in the 100 block of Wall Drive. It was determined a skunk had recently sprayed in the area.

3:04 p.m. — Custody report completed at police station.

11 a.m. — Juvenile was issued a citation for possession of tobacco products.

10:53 a.m. — Officers conduct trespassing investigation in the 200 block of North Mecca Street.

5:25 a.m. — A vehicle repossession was reported in the 700 block of Lakeview Drive.

March 14, 4:16 p.m. — A juvenile driver was issued a citation for speed after a traffic stop was conducted at Greenbriar and Lakeview drives.

3:23 p.m. — Two cows were reported to be walking in the road in the 3000 block of Bradley Brownlee Road. Officers were assisted by a neighbor to get the cows to a barn in Fowler Township.

12:56 p.m. — Vehicle repossession was reported in the 200 block of Sunset Drive.

12:40 p.m. — Traffic complaint reported at Bayberry Lane and South Colonial Drive.

10:52 a.m. — Telephone harassment was reported by a Brookview Drive resident.

March 13, 6:53 p.m. — Officers heard a resident’s complaint on station about possible mail tampering.

6:34 p.m. — An unwanted woman was reported in the 500 block of Arcaro Street.

6:08 p.m. — Investigation with Cleveland police into possible theft in Cortland.

6:07 p.m. — Officers spoke with person concerning an incident that occurred in another jurisdiction.

5:51 p.m. — A suspicious person / vehicle was reported on Monte Lane. Officers learned the person was with Spectrum cable company.

5:43 p.m. — Possible theft reported in the 700 block of Cortview Drive.

5:20 p.m. — Water main break was reported in the 200 block of Maple Avenue.

4:44 p.m. — A lost dog was reported in the area of South Mecca and West Main streets. Dog was found a short time later.

4:09 p.m. — Report of reckless drivers in the area of East Main and North High streets.

3:38 p.m. — Juvenile driver was issued a citation for failing to stop for a red light after a traffic stop was conducted at Elm Road and state Route 46.

2:59 p.m. — Unwanted person was reported in the 200 block of Natale Drive.

12:49 p.m. — Attempted scam reported by resident on Eagle Point Drive.

11:16 a.m. — Loud music was reported in the 600 block of Debra Place.

1:42 a.m. — Officers assist Bazetta police with unwanted persons at Walmart Super Center.

March 12, 6:29 p.m. — A tree branch on a main power line was reported in the 400 block of North High Street.

4:52 p.m. — Officers held pa resident with a vehicle lockout in the 400 block of Cortview Drive.

4:15 p.m. — Domestic disturbance was reported in the 2000 block of Liberty Boulevard.

1:21 p.m. — Officers held Cortland Fire Department / EMS with medical emergency in the 500 block of Lakeview Drive.

4:48 a.m. — A two-vehicle traffic crash reported at state Route 46 and Wakefield drive. No injuries were reported.

March 11, 7:44 p.m. — Petty theft was reported by a business in the 400 block of South High Street.

4:04 p.m. — Kyle A. Rogers, 27, of Niles, was issued citations at South High Street and Natale Drive for charges of driving under suspension, expired tags and expired license.

8:49 a.m. — Two-vehicle traffic crash reported at state Routes 46 and 305. No injuries were reported.

March 10, 11:48 p.m. — An argument was reported in the 600 block of Lakeview Drive.

7:29 p.m. — Two unwanted persons were escorted out of a business in the 300 block of North Mecca Street.

1:40 p.m. — Disturbance was reported in the 100 block of Viets Drive.

8:49 a.m. — James L. Uhl, 29, of Rockport, Pa., was arrested at Wakefield and Lakeview drives on charges of falsification and possession of drugs and on a warrant from a Pennsylvania court. Veronica L. Vrankovich, 27, of Reynoldsville, Pa., was issued citations for charges of driving under suspension and fictitious plates.

March 9, 7:59 p.m. — Reckless driver was reported in the 500 block of South Mecca Street.

5:20 p.m. — Officers assisted Bazetta police with an emergency at Mosquito Lake. No injuries were reported.

5:11 p.m. — Officers observed a juvenile riding a scooter recklessly on the road in the 200 block of Market Street.

4:56 p.m. — Sabrena K. Battaglioli, 33, of North Bloomfield, was issued a citation at state Route 46 and Fairview Avenue for speeding.

4 p.m. — Brian M. Doviak, 45, of Geneva, was issued a citation at South Mecca Street and Natale Drive for expired tags.

2:45 p.m. — Criminal mischief was reported in the 100 block of Southdale Boulevard.

11:48 a.m. — Officers removed debris from roadway at South High Street and Niles Cortland Road.

10:32 a.m. — Cody J. Stowers, 21, of Cortland, was issued citation at South Mecca Street and Natale Drive for driving under suspension.

March 8, 11:26 p.m. — Vehicle hit a deer in the 400 block of South High Street.

10:47 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported in the 300 block of North High Street.

8:50 p.m. — Resident reported a damaged speed limit sign in the 200 block of South High Street.

5:35 p.m. — William J. Hennessey, 37, of Warren was issued citation at South Mecca Street and Second Street for expired tags.

3:39 a.m. — Phillip Pierce, 42, of Kinsman, was arrested in the 400 block of South High Street on a charge of domestic violence.
