Niles native to speak at memorial library

NILES — Author Joseph Vitale Sr. will be at the McKinley Memorial Library, 40 N. Main St., 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday for a meet and greet.

A Niles native, Vitale is an author, speaker and musician as well as movie, TV and radio personality.

His bestselling books include “The Attractor Factor,” “Life’s Missing Instruction Manual” and “Zero Limit.”

His books will be available to purchase, and Vitale will sign copies of “What I Would Do As U.S. President.”

Remove decorations from cemeteries

WEATHERSFIELD — Decorations must be removed from all the township cemeteries by April 30 for spring cleanup and preparations for Memorial Day.

Interfaith breakfast planned for April 23

NILES — The annual Niles Interfaith Banquet will be April 23 at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St.

The reception and social begin at 4 p.m., with dinner following at 5 p.m.

The guest speaker will be Dan Bryant of the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Host churches are Niles First United Methodist and New Hope United Methodist, and two scholarships will be presented to local high school seniors.

The dinner menu will include grilled caprese chicken, potatoes, meatball and pasta, green beans, tossed salad and strawberry shortcake.

Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased by calling 330-652-0034 or 330-544-1576.

Kiwanis hosts Lenten breakfast April 12

NILES — The Niles Kiwanis Club will host a Lenten breakfast 7:30 a.m. April 12 at Hometown Buffet in the Eastwood Mall Complex.

The guest speaker will be the Rev. Christopher Stark, the pastor at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Niles.

There also will be a musical performance by the Niles McKinley High School Belles and Beaux.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast costs $9 per person.
