WARREN — The 16-year-old who was shot and killed last week in Warren has been identified as Da’Mar McKinney of Youngstown, according to police reports.

McKinney was found by police lying in the snow in a parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound at 11 p.m. Feb. 11 at an apartment complex on Mahoning Avenue NW.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died the next day from his injuries.

Ashaud Johnson and Willis Smith, both 18, were charged with murder in connection with McKinney’s death.

The two pleaded not guilty at their video arraignment Friday in Warren Municipal Court and were denied bond by Judge Natasha Natale.
