Trumbull Transit provides more total trips in 2025
WARREN — Retiring Trumbull Transit Administrator Michael Salamone reported the number of one-way trips made by the agency increased by 1,294 riders in 2025, going from 40,172 to 41,466.
Trumbull Transit primarily provides bus transportation to Trumbull County seniors and disabled residents.
There were a total of 27,087 trips arranged for seniors who were 65 and older and 2,199 trips for residents between the ages of 60 and 64. There were a total of 12,180 bus trips for disabled residents.
“We have had a steady increase in our one-way trips since 2023,” Salamone said.
In 2023, Trumbull Transit’s one-way trips were 36,837. In 2025, the number of one-way trips was 41,466. The number of senior trips during that period increased by 5,000.
The cost per trip decreased from $34.31 in 2024 to $33.71 per trip in 2025, according to Salamone.
“The reason for the decrease is the one vendor we had dropped their price,” he said.
