WHAT: Village council meeting Monday

PRESENT: Robert Bond, Ernie Bowen, Jessica Blank, Jamie Moseley, Lamar Liming, Howard Sheely and Mayor Jackie Woodward

Council:

• Accepted a bid from Kirila Contractors for the 2025 resurfacing at $315,000 for repaving Huffman Drive, Rustic Run Drive, Pleasant Valley Drive and Silver Fox Drive.

• Voted 6-0 against amending the zoning maps to reclassify 40.527 acres of property owned by Spirongo Lordstown LLC from mixed zone districts of commercial highway business and residential to singular zone of industrial.

• Heard from Engineer Chris Kogelnik that a study would need to be done o determine if there is a need for a left turning lane from Bailey Anderson Road to Hallock Young Road. He said Ohio Public Works Commission funds could be sought for such a project.

• Heard from Road Superintendent Martin Nelder that he will be seeking bids for a dump truck with a plow and spreader.

• Heard from Woodward that the Hometown Heroes banners have been hung along Salt Springs Road in honor of local veterans.

• Scheduled three public hearings for zone change requests from TJX HomeGoods and Clean Energy LLC from 5:15 to 6 p.m. July 21.
