On the record – Vienna

WHAT: Township trustees meeting Monday.

PRESENT: Richard Dascenzo, Michael Haddle and Phil Pegg

Trustees:

• Reported that they’ve heard complaints about chickens in the township, namely on King Graves Road and Centennial Drive. Trustee Phil Pegg said as far as the township is concerned, they only enforce what’s in the zoning resolution and the Ohio Revised Code, noting they only really enforce the “no roosters” policy because people don’t like waking up at 4 a.m.

• Reported that they’ve heard about the potholes at the exit near the post office. Pegg said that while they can’t go on the post office’s property, the township plans to handle the two in the road.

• Approved renewing the township’s OTARMA insurance from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026.

• Approved renewing the township’s Anthem Life Insurance coverage from June 1, 2025, through July 1, 2026.

• Authorized Fiscal Officer Jason Miner to pay the following companies, in separate resolutions; Lexipol, $3,812; Hudson Communications, $364; Wolford’s Rolloff Inc, $8,026; Mr. PC, $9,657, MES Life Safety, $1,740; Stryker, $4,992 and Horodyski Brothers, $3,933.
