WHAT: Trumbull Career & Technical Center Board of Education meeting Tuesday

The board:

• Heard from Superintendent Jason Gray that TCTC is the recipient of the Purple Star Award designation from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce for supporting military-connected students.

• Set a groundbreaking ceremony at noon May 16 for the manufacturing classrooms addition at the southeast corner of building.

• Recognized Ronda Bonekovic of Brookfield with a 20-year board member award from the Ohio School Boards Association.

• Announced the career exploration summer enrichment program will be June 2-5.

• Approved Kristin Little on a two-year contract as special education and guidance secretary.

• Approved Kelly Henson and Shelby Henry as paraprofessionals for the 2025-26 school year.

• Approved Koula Glaros-Ross as adult education coordinator at $30 per hour and Dora Zandarski as adult education coordinator at $35 per hour not to exceed 20 hours per week. Gray said the two set up adult education programs and get the needed equipment.

• Heard from Treasurer Cody Holecko about plans to replace the building’s roof and upgrade some classrooms in the near future.
