WHAT: Village council meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Sean Schmidt, Kerry Reckard, John Metzinger, Kyles Joynes, Chad Jones, Don Smith and Mayor Ray Lewis

Council:

• Gave final reading to place a 1.5-mill, five-year renewal tax levy on the November ballot to generate $28,000 for the general fund. The levy generates funds set in 1977 with no increase in taxes.

• Gave second reading accepting the bid of RT Vernal for the street paving this summer of Nebraska and Utah avenues and part of Dakota Avenue. Work will be completed this summer.

• Set Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. April 13 at the park.
