ODOT projects to shift traffic patterns in county

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced the following projects that will affect traffic patterns in Trumbull County over the next several weeks:
• State Route 5 / 82 will have various lane restrictions for lighting installation at the following intersections: at U.S. 422 in Warren Township, at Perkins Jones Road in Champion and at Elm Road in Bazetta. The estimated completion date is late August.
• State Route 11 from just north of state Route 82 to King Graves Road has various lane restrictions for resurfacing through late September.
• Starting Monday, state Route 46 just north of Cadwallader Sonk Road in Bazetta will be closed through early June for a bridge replacement. The detour will be state Route 305 to state Route 11 to state Route 82. Estimated completion is late June.
The following ramp closures and lane restrictions are in effect through late spring for the diverging diamond project at state Routes 46 and 82:
• The ramp from Route 82 eastbound to Route 46 northbound is closed. The detour is Route 82 east to state Route 193 to Route 82 west to state Route 46.
• The ramp from Route 46 south to Route 82 east is closed. The detour is Route 82 west to Elm Road to Route 82 east.
• Route 46 between East Market Street and U.S 422. has various daily lane restrictions.
The estimated completion for the project is fall 2026.
