Warren apartment damaged in fire
WARREN — A fire that firefighters said was caused by “careless cooking” at a Warren apartment complex early Monday resulted in an estimated $10,000 in damage.
The Warren City Fire Department responded to the blaze at 1:30 a.m. at St. Andrews Manor, 407 Southern Blvd. NW.
The fire originated in a first-floor unit of the three-story complex, according to Warren fire Chief Ken Nussle. The affected apartment sustained moderate fire damage, while several other units experienced minor smoke damage.
Two occupants were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross with temporary living arrangements. No injuries were reported.
