Statewide tornado drill set Wednesday
Tornado sirens across the state are scheduled to be activated Wednesday morning as part of a yearly drill.
The drill coincides with Severe Weather Awareness Week, which ends Saturday.
At 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, local communities and schools will participate in a statewide tornado drill and test their emergency and sheltering plans. Ohio counties will use this time to sound and test their outdoor warning sirens and mass notification systems.
Emergency management agency officials have encouraged residents to go over their tornado safety plans.
