McDonald schools select new treasurer
MCDONALD — Amanda Latell of Girard has been appointed treasurer of the McDonald Local School District.
Latell, selected from six applicants, was granted a contract at $78,000 for the remainder of the school year and for the 2025-26 year through July 2026.
She previously worked as assistant to the treasurer for Girard City School District and Northeast Ohio Management Information Network.
Superintendent Kevin O’Connell said the board selected Latell noting her experience working for a school district treasurer’s office and familiarity with school finance.
He said this will be Latell’s first treasurer position. “The board was impressed with her experience and knowledge of school treasurer’s office,” he said.
The position became open with the recent resignation of Megan Titus, who accepted a position in December with the Bristol Local School District.
The board approved a consulting agreement with Titus at $50 per hour to assist Latell in becoming familiar with the McDonald treasurer’s office. O’Connell said the consulting contract took effect Feb. 5.
