Elections board reverses rejections, approves polling location change in Liberty
Staff report
WARREN — Three candidates were reinstated by the Trumbull County Board of Elections during a special meeting Tuesday where the board also approved a polling location change.
The board reversed its rejection of Ashley McBride and David Burnham’s petitions, confirming they had enough valid signatures. Brian Kropp, initially disqualified over printed signatures, was reinstated after providing an affidavit verifying their authenticity.
McBride is running for Warren City Council’s 5th-Ward seat, while Burnham is seeking an at-Large council seat in Warren. Kropp is running for the 1st Ward council seat in Newton Falls.
The board also voted to consolidate polling locations in Liberty Township, moving two precincts from the township administration building to the Liberty Youth, Recreation and Impact Center (LYRIC), at 317 Churchill Hubbard Road, to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Voters will be notified ahead of the next election.
