WHAT: Board of education meeting Jan. 9.

PRESENT: Amie Crowder, Tonya Kline, Mark Stimpert, Teresa Oakes and Dan Williams.

The board:

•Named Crowder as president and Kline as vice president.

•Approved Kline as legislative liaison and Williams as alternate delegate to the Ohio School Boards Association and also student liaison.

•Named Crowder as representative to the Trumbull Career and Technical Center board.

•Named Crowder as student achievement committee liaison to the OSBA. She will be recognized for serving in the position in April.

•Are discussing a community liaison position for the board.

•Scheduled a work session at 9 a.m. Saturday at the high school for training and evaluations with an official from the Portage County Educational Service Center.

•Set meetings at 6 p.m. the third Thursday of month in the high school media center.
