WHAT: Village council meeting Tuesday.
PRESENT: Terry Campbell, Lamar Liming, Jamie Moseley, Jessica Blank, Howard Sheely and Mayor Jaclyn Woodward.
ABSENT: Robert Bond.
Council:
•Approved Peyton Gibbs as a junior firefighter and accepted the resignations of Jack Quinby, Jayce Millick and Richard Reider from the fire department.
•Approved an agreement with Kirila Contractors at $189,289 for air release meter valve replacement project.
•Approved paying CT Consultants Inc. $61,000 for valve improvement work on the 24-inch waterline project.
•Approved renewing the current agreement with GoDaddy for email service for the police department at a cost not to exceed $7,000 for three years through 2028. Solicitor Matt Ries said legislation will be prepared for the Feb. 3 meeting to have officials approve the agreement. Police Chief Brent Milhoan said the current contract expires this month and was $6,147.
•Entered into a road use maintenance agreement with Warren city in connection with the construction of a water transmission main project to benefit Clean Energy Future Trumbull LLC.
•Heard from Milhoan of 25 applicants for police officer positions with some scheduled for interviews. The department has been in need of additional officers. He said some applicants did not meet qualifications.
•Approved purchasing 1,000 tons of salt at $82 per ton for the road department.
