WHAT: Township trustees meeting Dec. 30.

PRESENT: Mike Hovis, Bob McBride and Mike Morelli.

Trustees:

• Discussed accomplishments for 2024, which included a new emergency road installed by the fire department for quicker access to Elm Road. The road is for emergency response vehicles only. Also in 2024, the township was able to get roads paved and purchased a new mower and backhoe.

• Announced for 2025 McCleary Jacoby Road will be paved, and improvements and work will be done at Imagination Station in the township park.

• Reported that to date, Trumbull County Auditor Martha Yoder’s failure to deposit township tax money has incurred $3,211 in legal fees and numerous administrative hours looking into and responding to public record requests and other inquiries.

• Were informed total zoning department fees collected in 2024 was $79,922.

• Reported a comprehensive plan update is underway. A steering committee has been established and the first meeting will be held in February.

• Set the organizational meeting for 7 p.m. Jan. 7.
