WHAT: Park board meeting Tuesday.

PRESENT: Jaclyn Gerberry, Harry Salpata and Heidi Barker.

The board:

• Is reviewing a possible increase of $5 in membership for 2025. Park Director Mark Pallante said memberships have increased and rentals have increased.

• Were informed youth baseball is installing a batting cage at Waddell Park.

• Heard from Pallante the new splash pad and gazebo at Waddell Park are completed with the playground equipment half done and work continuing on the ballfields. He said they want to see what can be completed before the start of winter with a grand opening in spring 2025. A 5-foot fence will be installed around the splash pad and playground. He said city water will be used for the splash pad.

• Reported a $69,840 heating and air conditioning unit was installed at the wellness center.

• Announced that the grand opening of the disc golf course at Stevens Park will be 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
