WHAT: Township trustee meeting Monday.

PRESENT: Pete Augusta, Doreen Lutz and John Nemet.

Trustees:

• Approved a new contract with Newton Falls village for the joint fire district, effective on Jan. 1. Lutz serves as the trustee representative on the board and Julie Stimpert as the village’s representative on the board. Trustees will also approve a township resident to serve on the board as does the village.

Officials said there will be no increase in pay for the district.

• Approved proceeding with the second phase of the Salt Springs Road paving project with Ohio Public Works Commission to provide funding. The first phase of the project was completed this year.

• Approved annual fee of $242 for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency stormwater discharge project.

• Approved annual dues of $1,128 for Trumbull County Emergency Management Agency.
