WARREN — City police are investigating gunfire reported early Thursday at the intersection of Parkman Road NW and Stiles Street NW.

According to a Warren Police Department report, officers responded to the area shortly after 2:30 a.m. Thursday following a report of shots fired.

Witnesses told police they observed a dark-colored truck with a cab chasing a black Chevrolet Impala southbound on Parkman Road NW. Six to eight gunshots were heard coming from the vehicles as they traveled before turning west onto West Market Street.

Officers at the scene recovered a silver .40 caliber shell casing on Parkman Road NW near Stiles Street NW. The vehicles involved were not located and no injuries were reported.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage from city cameras in the area.
