Girard man pleads in kidnapping attempt case
WARREN — A Girard man Wednesday pleaded guilty to charges of attempted kidnapping, tampering with evidence, strangulation and disrupting public services in connection with a March 16 assault.
Robert L. Trammell, 38, was accused of grabbing a woman, 29, by the throat, forcing her into a bathroom and holding her there for over two hours. He also took her phone and made her shower to wash off the blood from her injuries, according to an investigation by deputies with the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office.
Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean O’Brien ordered a background investigation and classified Trammell as a violent offender pending sentencing.
