WHAT: City council meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Robert Marino, Doug Sollitto, Jimmy Julian, Todd Weddell, Aaron Johnstone, James Sheely, Mindy Devorich and Mayor Steve Mientkiewicz

ABSENT: Michael Lastic

Council:

• Gave second reading to ordinances for stormwater management control, illegal utility connections and new standards for erosion and sediment control, all of which are being updated per Ohio Environmental Protection Agency guidelines and regulations.

• Announced firefighter John Vlosich is retiring from the department.

• Announced the Halloween parade is 1 p.m. Sunday in the city’s downtown. Participants entering a float should line up at McKinley High School beginning at noon. All spectators should line up on Main Street between Federal to State streets.
