WHAT: Township trustee meeting Monday

PRESENT: Bruce Bancroft, Jamin Banning and Greg Leonhard


• Approved using $2,700 remaining from the $3,000 allocated for refinishing the park bandstand with only about $300 needed to be used for paint and materials since volunteers from the community helped with the project. The $2,700 was allocated for building a roof overhang at the park restroom;

• Reported the county engineer’s office put in deeper ditches and culverts on Turner Mullin Road to help prevent flooding. Officials said the ditches are 16 inches lower than they were previously;

• A new speed indicator digital sign costing $5,000 and covered by a grant was installed at Main Street to let motorists know what their speed is. Police had received calls of speeding vehicles on the road;

• Announced a Coffee with the Chiefs event will be held 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 20 at Good Intentions, where people can meet and speak with fire and police chiefs.
