WHAT: Board of Education meeting Monday

PRESENT: Jim Scher, David Mahan, Patricia Fisher and Aaron Abrahamson

ABSENT: John Pitts

The board:

• Recognized Cheryl Weaver, softball coach, and Andrew Barker, baseball coach, for being named Trumbull County Coaches of the Year;

• Approved an agreement with Emerine’s Towing Inc. at $10,000 and IBEW Local Union 573 for $1,000 for signage rights at the stadium, Emerine’s agreement is for five years and IBEW for one year;

• Entered into an agreement with Cadence Care Network for two licensed social workers at $48,000 with $24,000 paid by ESSER funds;

• Entered into an agreement with the Trumbull County Educational Service Center and Community Bus Service for busing low incidence students and special needs preschool students living in the district;

• Approved an agreement with Vision to Learn to provide eye checks for students of the district;

• Approved Richard Wilkes as general maintenance, replacing David Dutton who resigned; Melissa Harper for general utility; and Ken Koehler as bus driver;

• Hired Mariah Alvazis as third-grade teacher for 183-day contract, replacing Erin Smith who resigned.
