VIENNA — A popular wildlife park in the area soon will be closing its doors.

Wagon Trails Animal Park on Belmont Avenue posted to its Facebook page that its upcoming 23rd season will be its last.

According to the post, the family has been operating the park for 23 years and has “come to the realization that this is the best decision.”

The park offers guests a partially enclosed wagon ride where the animals roam free and guests can feed them. The park opens for the season April 30 and its last day will be Sept. 5.

The post did not state what will happen to the animals, which include bison, donkeys, zebras, elk, camels, birds and cattle.
