Police probing shooting death in Warren

19-year-old victim pronounced dead after incident in store parking lot

WARREN — A Trumbull County 911 report identified the victim of a Monday fatal shooting as a 19-year-old Warren man.

However, Warren police are not releasing the name of the victim pending notification of relatives.

A 911 report stated the victim of a gunshot to the chest was pronounced dead about 7:45 p.m. in the emergency room of the Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

The report states the victim was taken by car to the hospital after the 7:26 p.m. shooting in the parking lot of the Quick Shop convenience store at 960 Mahoning Ave. NW.

An employee of the store told 911 dispatchers he didn’t see anything but heard three shots, the report states.

The 911 report also states detectives shortly before midnight were interviewing one person connected to the shooting at the station.

If the shooting is identified as a homicide, it would be the first for 2022 in Warren.
