WHAT: Township trustee November meeting

PRESENT: Phil Pegg, Heidi Brown and Rich Dascenzo


• Reviewed finances to see what wage adjustments can be made for the police department’s 13 part-time staff, which includes the police chief. Pegg said the entire department is part-time and trustees are reviewing finances to see how the department can remain solvent;

• Approved Ronyak Paving at $98,076 for paving Creekside Boulevard and $44,175 toward the township’s share of paving Smith Stewart Road phase 2;

• Accepted the resignation of James Lamkin from the police department effective Oct. 14. He has accepted another job;

• Approved tearing down the house at 5202 Smith Stewart Road;

• Approved Executive Landscape at $910 for trim work in the cemetery;

• Approved a contract with the Trumbull County Engineer’s Office at $1,671 for salt and $785 for roadside mowing;

• Approved paying Thompson Mechanical $820 for repairs to the fire department boiler;

• Paid Willie’s Auto Repair $831 for police cruiser repairs;

• Announced Santa Claus will be at the fire station 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
