Board member to stay until year’s end

NEWTON FALLS — Newton Falls Board of Education member Julie Stimpert will remain on the board until Dec. 31 before beginning to serve on village council.

School Superintendent Rocco Adduci said Stimpert informed the board and school administrators this week she will finish at year’s end.

Adduci said the board hopes to name someone at the January 2022 board meeting.

Stimpert won the village council-at-Large seat in the November general election. She will replace Brian Kropp, who resigned in October after being appointed by Mayor Ken Kline in July.
