Motorcyclist facing menacing charge

WARREN — A motorcyclist accused of menacing a woman with a gun and toying with her in traffic in the area of Summit Street and Mahoning Avenue was assigned a public defender Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court, according to court and police records.

Berman E. Gore III, 34, Rosegarden Drive, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges of aggravated menacing and using weapons while intoxicated. He was booked Monday evening into the Trumbull County jail and released Tuesday afternoon with a $3,500 bond.

A 34-year-old woman called officers 6:30 p.m. Monday to Elm Road and Atlantic Street on reports a man on a motorcycle cut her off at the intersection of Summit and Mahoning and then repeatedly slowed down to under the speed limit, laid back on the motorcycle, turned around to point his hand at her to imitate the firing of a gun, according to the report.

At Atlantic Street and Paige Avenue, the man reached into his waistband to grab a gun, pointed it at the woman and then at Atlantic and Buena Vista Avenue lost control of his motorcycle, dropping it to the ground. A man on a four-wheeler helped him pick it up and the woman said he took a beer from the man who was driving the motorcycle. Officers arrested Gore at 1229 Buena Vista, according to the report.

Officers took a Kimber Micro 9 gun as evidence, according to the report.
