County engineer discusses culvert project with Bazetta residents

BAZETTA — Residents of Lakeshore Drive and West Lake Drive will not be able to get to and from their homes for six hours Nov. 5 as the county will do a culvert replacement project off nearby Everett Hull Road.

Officials will work 9 a.m. to 3 pm. so residents can get to and from work and students can get to and from school. About 30 residents attended a meeting Thursday with the county engineer’s office and Bazetta safety forces about the closure. The fire department will park a truck and the police department will park a cruiser in the neighborhood during the closure.

County Engineer Randy Smith said the culvert needs replaced because a pipe has deteriorated.
