Would-be burglar arrested by officers on Hall Street

WARREN — A 30-year-old man is charged after police accused him of trying to break into homes on the 1400 block of North Park Avenue and the 100 block of Hall Street on Thursday afternoon.

Frank J. Tursack of East Avenue SE faces two counts of burglary and a breaking and entering charge in Warren Municipal Court, where arraignment is scheduled for Monday.

A woman told police a man tried to enter her home after breaking into a rear garage loft area, the police report states. Officers discovered footprints on a rear door where the burglar tried to kick it in but was unable to gain entry.

Police later apprehended a man matching the description of the burglar walking along Hall Street. One officer said they observed the man trying to kick in the back door of a Hall Street home. An officer pointed a Taser at the man while one officer grabbed him as he tried to walk away. Tursack remains in Trumbull County jail, records show.
