Prowlers suspected in Warren’s Idylwild area

WARREN — City police investigated reports from neighbors in the 200 block of Idylwild Street NE Thursday night about people running through back yards trying to steal things.

One man said he let his dogs out in the area about 9:40 p.m., and they ran toward the fence line barking, according to the police report. While the dogs were out, the man told police he heard a gunshot and saw a round hit the ground in front of him.

Neighbors reported three suspicious men, one wearing a black shirt, a second wearing a red shirt, and a third with a gray shirt.

Officers told the neighbors they would do extra patrols, but no shell casings were found and no further information was given.
