Cigarettes reported stolen from Warren gas station
WARREN — Police are investigating the break-in early Thursday at the BP gas station, 1250 E. Market St.
Police responded to an alarm shortly before 4 a.m. and spotted a large piece of concrete outside the front door of the business, a police report states. While looking inside, officers couldn’t spot anyone but saw a white pillow case on the ground behind the cash register and cigarette packs scattered on the floor.
When the owner arrived, a security video showed a man with gray hoodie, blue pants and Nike tennis shoes coming through the front door. The video shows the man filling up a pillow case with packs of cigarettes before he fled out a back door. The owner estimated about $900 worth of cigarettes were taken, the report states.
