City man gets 9 months for burglary charges
WARREN — A man who was revived from an apparent drug overdose while awaiting sentencing on charges connected to a home burglary was given nine months in jail Monday, according to court and jail records.
Chad Decost, 34, Warren, pleaded guilty in April to burglary and possessing criminal tools in connection to a 2019 burglary at a Warren Township home, according to court records. Two counts of grand theft were dismissed as part of the plea deal, according to prosecutors.
He was scheduled to be sentenced May 4 in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, but a sheriff’s office deputy found him unconscious outside of the courtroom, according to a report. He was revived with two doses of Narcan and transported to St. Joseph Warren Hospital for treatment.
