Man gets 4 years for shooting in Liberty

WARREN — A Youngstown man was sentenced to four years behind bars Monday by Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Peter J. Kontos in connection with a July 2019 shooting at the Monticello Apartments in Liberty.

Mark Britt, 44, West Chalmers Avenue, pleaded guilty in January to felonious assault with a firearm specification and having weapons under disability, according to court records.

A presentence investigation was waived as part of the plea deal.

Joseph Wilson of Youngstown was shot in the ankle 4:30 a.m. July 23, 2019, at an apartment complex near Logan Way and Logangate Drive, according to police.
