Youngstown woman charged with endangering

LIBERTY — A Youngstown woman was arrested on child endangering charges after someone called Trumbull County 911 reporting that two children, ages 9 and 3, were left in a township motel room by themselves.

Shaina Bell, 24, of 2230 Logan Ave., pleaded not guilty Friday to two counts of child endangering before Girard Municipal Judge Jeffrey Adler, who released her on a personal recognizance bond. A pre-trial hearing is set for 10 a.m. April 7.

Liberty police were called to the Motel 6, 4249 Belmont Ave., about 6:15 p.m. Thursday to check on the children who were left alone when their mother went to work at a pizza shop. A Trumbull County Children Services case worker was called in and according to the report, the children were to go to their father.

Township officers arrested Bell at the pizza shop about an hour later, the report states.
