Warren driver charged after short police chase

WARREN — A Warren woman was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, driving under the influence and driving recklessly after a short police chase on Monday night.

Hayley Dukes, 24, of Iddings Avenue SE, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to the charges in Warren Municipal Court and was set for an April 1 preliminary hearing. She was released on a personal bond.

Dukes’ Pontiac Grand Am went out of control, spinning out about 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Summit Street and Mahoning Avenue NW. A police cruiser followed the car at speeds up to 63 mph until a traffic stop was made at West Market Street and North Park Avenue, the report states.

Duke registered a 0.218 blood-alcohol content after a breath test was administered at the highway patrol barracks, the report states.

Timothy Brown II, 37, of Red Fox Run NW, who was called to pick up Dukes, was charged with disorderly conduct after he would not follow police orders, the report states.
