Crews respond to Weathersfield fire

WEATHERSFIELD — Fire crews were called out Thursday evening to a structure fire at 2609 Elm Drive after a person saw smoke coming from the roof area of a house and an alarm going off.

A Trumbull County 911 report states a caller was walking her dog around 5:30 p.m. when she saw smoke coming from a two-story wooden structure.

Reports state the fire was in the kitchen and people were able to evacuate from the house. There were reports that some pets did not get out of the house.

Both Ohio Edison and Dominion Gas were contacted.
