Youngstown man sentenced in weapons case

WARREN — A Youngstown man received a one-year prison sentence Tuesday after he had been convicted on weapons charges.

Marlon Hall, 31, 859 E. Avondale Ave., appeared before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Peter J. Kontos, who gave him a sentence concurrent to an 11-month term Hall received last week from Judge W. Wyatt McKay on a drug possession conviction.

Hall had pleaded guilty July 20 before Kontos on charges of having a weapon as a felon and improper handling of a weapon in a motor vehicle. The weapons case stemmed from a Dec. 19, 2019, traffic stop by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, court records show
