City records 15th homicide of 2020
WARREN — The city has notched its 15th homicide of the year after a shooting Friday evening at the Hampshire House apartments left one man dead.
According to a Trumbull County 911 report, a woman called 911 around 7 p.m. to report there were people shooting outside her apartment at 1413 Fifth St. SW. A second caller told dispatchers that someone was dead and she saw two men, both with guns, outside the complex.
It is the city’s second homicide in less than a week. Joshua E. Wilson, 33, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and later died following a shooting on Maryland Street NW near North Park Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
No one from the police department returned messages seeking more information on Saturday. Safety Service Director Eddie Colbert also did not return a message.
