Bazetta resident to face charges

CORTLAND — A Bazetta Township man has been charged with four counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.

Robert Riccardi, 70, of 2315 Howland Wilson Road, will appear via video arraignment in Central District Court at 10:30 a.m. today, according to a court spokeswoman. He remains at the Trumbull County Jail, records show.

The charges, all second-degree felonies that each carry maximum eight-year prison terms, are connected to a search Wednesday of Riccardi’s home by state investigators and agents from the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

Steve Irwin, spokesman for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and its Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, said investigators were prompted by a tip from the Internet Crime Against Children group, a Cleveland group that collects data from internet service providers about possible sex crimes.
