WARREN — City police are investigating separate alleged sexual assaults on girls.

An officer was dispatched to St. Joseph Warren Hospital on Monday to take a report from the mother of a 5-year-old. The mother told officers her daughter was assaulted by an unknown man on July 31 between 1 and 4:30 p.m. at an apartment in the 1200 block of Robert Avenue NW. Medical staff told the mom there were no signs of serious injury, the report states.

Also at 6:44 p.m. Monday, a Warren detective was called to Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman to investigate a possible assault of a 6-year-old girl who lives on Neff Drive in Canfield. The assault allegedly took place between July 24 and July 30 at a home in the 300 block of Elvina Drive SW, Warren. The report said Trumbull County Children’s Services was notified and an investigation is pending.
