Niles man sent to prison on domestic violence charge

WARREN — A man received a six-month prison sentence Thursday in connection to an April 13 domestic incident in Niles.

Anthony Oliver, 24, of 39 Lincoln Ave., Niles, pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree domestic violence felony. The defendant pleaded guilty to another domestic charge out of Austintown in 2018, court records show.

Prosecutors said in this case, Oliver was accused of grabbing a woman by her head and slamming it against a wall.

Mahoning County court records show officials plan to pursue probation violation warrants against Oliver for that 2018 case.
