Newton Falls locates water main break; plans to start repairs made
NEWTON FALLS –Village residents and police were asked to help locate a water main break Sunday afternoon in the community that was found.
Village Manager David Lynch posted on the village’s Facebook page Chuck Lane of the water distribution department located the break.
Lynch said the break was in the area of Canal and Franklin streets.
Auxiliary police officers were called in to search neighborhoods for the root of the problem and residents also were asked to keep an eye out for any flooded areas.
He said the break was isolated with the village shutting down the leak. Lynch said no residents or businesses lost any service and the water quality was unaffected.
Plans are for repairs to take place on the water main in the next several days.
