Man gets one year in prison for drug offenses
WARREN — A Niles man was given a one-year prison sentence Monday after being convicted on several drug offenses connected to three different traffic stops.
Arbie Murray, 25, of 925 Youngstown Road, pleaded guilty to a bill of information charging him with possession of drugs, aggravated possession of drugs and trafficking in marijuana.
Murray was stopped three different times during 2019 — once each by Warren police, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Howland police, prosecutors say. A bill of information bypasses the usual indictment process of a grand jury.
The defendant also forfeited $17,788 in cash that was confiscated during one of the traffic stops.
