Howland police earn governor’s certification for the fourth year

HOWLAND — For the fourth year, the Howland Police Department received a Provisional Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Agency certification.

The certification was obtained by working with Gov. Mike DeWine’s police advisory board and is issued for the department’s bias-free policing, investigation of employee misconduct and vehicular pursuit policy and procedures, which meet or exceed the governor’s task force recommendations.
