Warren police investigate vandalism at library

WARREN — Warren police are investigating vandalism at the main Warren-Trumbull County Public Library that happened early Thursday.

According to a police report, someone threw rocks, shattering a west side window and glass to the west side door of the building at 444 Mahoning Ave. NW. A worker discovered the damage about 9 a.m. and called police.

The worker also discovered a shattered rear window to the bookmobile that was parked on the south side of the library. Another vehicle, a Ford Transit Connect, had its rear window and driver-side window shattered. The worker told police nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicles or the library, the report states.

Upon checking surveillance videos, the worker told police he saw three males walk onto the property about 4:45 a.m. and begin throwing rocks. Several large rocks were found nearby. Police were to obtain the footage to try to identify the vandals, the report states.
