Victim kicks police out mid report

WARREN — Police were kicked out of an apartment by a woman who called reporting someone had broken in and stole a 55-inch television and a game console at 12:35 a.m. Monday.

Officers responded to a report of a window being broken at 1339 Fifth St., Apt. 8, where the occupant told officers someone had broken in and stolen the items.

Broken glass could be seen on the rear bedroom floor. When officers began questioning the victim, she became agitated, ordered them out and told them to forget filing a report, according to a police report.

An officer picked up a broken knife blade sitting on the window sill outside the apartment that may have been used to enter the building, according to the report.
