Shots fired from truck strike Hamilton St. home
WARREN — A home in the 2100 block of Hamilton Street SW was pelted by five bullets shortly after 10 p.m. Monday.
A Warren police report states the shots came from a red Ford truck with no back bumper that was last seen driving toward Jefferson Street.
The resident said he and his family were in the back yard by a campfire when the truck drove by several times. When the truck came by the last time, the resident told police it had its headlights off and someone shot five times at the house.
The report states one bullet penetrated the first wall of the home and ended in a middle wall. No one was injured.
Police collected spent 6.9 mm shell casings from the roadway.
The resident told police the incident may have something to do with a friend of his daughter’s getting into an argument and being beat up near an ATM at the Fast Fuel on Parkman Road NW.
