Resident charged in city dog attack

WARREN — A Fifth Street resident is charged in a dog attack that injured a 48-year-old Martin Street man, according to city police reports.

Dana Hunter, 41, of 931 Fifth St. SW, is charged with keeping vicious dogs and allowing animals to run at large, both misdemeanors. An arraignment is set for July 22 before Judge Terry Ivanchak, according to municipal court records.

A police report states the victim was walking on school property as he was going to the store June 23 or 24 when a black and white female terrier attacked him, causing minor injuries. The man was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center for treatment, the report states.

A neighbor came over to help get the 6-month-old dog back home, the report states.
