WHAT: Township trustee meeting Monday

PRESENT: Phil Pegg, Heidi Brown and Rich Dascenzo


• Returned to in-person meetings for the first-time since March with social distancing guidelines in place, including chairs spaced apart, masks being worn and hand sanitizing available;

• Approved $32,629 for a new cardio monitor from Stryker, with grant money to reimburse some of the costs;

• Approved $10,944 to Quality Truck Body for a new bed for the road department truck, including labor and parts. Officials said the truck is in good condition and just the bed needs replaced;

• Approved $1,719 to Horodyski Brothers for tire collection on cleanup day. It will be reimbursed by a grant;

• Approved paying Champion Fire Department $5,943 for MARCS radios, which is the township’s 10 percent match for the radios jointly acquired by many local communities. Champion was the lead agency on the grant;

• Approved $36,541 with Ohio Township Association Risk Management Authority for all township insurance;

• Canceled the annual Vienna Township Day in August.
